A great way of killing your love for stories is by yoking your sense of self worth to your ability to produce them.

The thing I think that’s important to keep in mind when you’re reading writers on writing is that they mostly talk bollocks.
The fact is, I don’t know where my ideas come from. Nor does any writer. The only real answer is to drink way too much coffee and buy yourself a desk that doesn’t collapse when you beat your head against it.
The simulation I built in my head became sufficiently advanced that I was able to automate some of the processes of creation and some of the results of the automation were different to what I expected.
Don’t use words too big for the subject. Don’t say ‘infinitely’ when you mean ‘very’; otherwise you’ll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite.
